DDC DODA launches Pulse Polio drive in Doda.

DODA, March 10: In connection with the  Intensified Pulse Polio Immunization Programme (IPPI),near about 75000 children below 5 years of age will be administered oral polio drops across the district Doda to safeguard them from the crippling disease besides eradicating the menace of polio from the district.
 
The drive will last for three days in the district with administration setting-up hundreds of booths for successful and smooth conduct of the campaign.
 
District Development Commissioner Dr. Sagar D. Doifode(IAS) inaugurated the IPPI programme by administering polio drops to children at district hospital, Doda.
 
Nearly 75078 children are being covered in the district for which 2124 employees and 107 supervisor’s,5 zonal magistrate were deputed in 531 pulse-polio booths established across the district.
 
The District Development Commissioner Doda directed the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to constitute  mobile teams for conducting house -to-house survey to ensure that hundred percent target is achieved in next two-days of the drive.
 
      CMO Doda Dr Mushtaq Ahmed,DHO Dr Tariq Masood, BMO Ghat Dr Mohd Fareed Batt,Medical officer’s,supervisory staff,para medical staff were also present on the occassion.
