*DDC Doda convenes a meeting with Supervisors of ICDS* _DDC asks Supervsiors to keep proper check on AWCs_

Today, Distrct Development Commissioner Doda, Dr Sagar D Doifode convened a meeting with CDPO’s and Supervisors of ICDS Department wherein he reviewed the functioning of Anganwari Centres in district Doda.

 

CPO Doda, Parshotam Kumar, CDPO’s of ICDS Doda,Gandoh,Bhagwah,Marmat,Assar, Bhaderwah,Gundna and Supervisors were present in meeting.

 

DDC held a detailed deliberation over the working and smooth functioning of Anganwari Centres.

 

DDC Doda stated that the basic purpose of opening of Anganwari Centres by the Government is to provide healthy and nutritious diet to the children belonging to the BPL families and other categories among poorest of the poor.

 

He further directed all the supervisors to ensure to provide fixed quantity of food and nutrition supplies in Anganwari Centres besides health services and nutrition to pregnant women, nursing mothers and adolescent girls.

 

Further, they were instructed to keep proper check on the Anganwari Centres by touring 4 days in a week in their respective centres, to ensure that all the centre’s are functioning properly.

 

Moreover DDC also asked the concerned authorities to discuss all the pending modalities with RDD department so that the construction of new structures of anaganwari centres under convergence e initiated at earliest.

 

DDC instructed the supervisors of ICDS to keep proper check on the attendance of Anganwari workers and the work assigned to them besides asked them to prepare a mechanism with which a strict vigilance of their respective zones can be done and furnish details of daily activities on regular basis.
