*DDC convened Preparatory meeting for organising Lal Draman Mela at Doda*

DODA,June 28:

With an aim to enhance the tourism sector in the district particularly in Doda and in its adjoining areas which are yet to be developed as a tourist destinations, DDC Doda Dr Sagar D Doifode today convened meeting of Officers for organising mela at Lal Draman to promote toursim in the area.

 

The meeting was attended by ACR Doda Kaiser Ahmed Bhawani,CPO Doda Parshotam Kumar,DFO Doda,CEO Doda,Dy Registrar Cooperatives Adil Iqbal Lone,Ex EN PDD, PHE,BDO and Tehsildar Bhagwah,officials of BDA and Tourism department and members of some education based NGO’s.

 

During the meeting threadbare discussions held between DDC and other concerned officers regarding the successful conduct of mela at the aforementioned destination which will probably held in the last week of next month.

 

DDC asked the meeting to evaluate the chart of activities which will attract the locals as well as the outsider of other regions to come and witness the beauty of the area within seven days and frame all the committee’s which will look after the microscopic level of activities on the day of mela like publicity committee,attraction committee who will chalk out the variety of activities to be held during the mela, invitation committee, environment committe and the overall supervision committee.

 

Moreover it was decided in the meeting that this mela will be purely celebrated on the standards of environmental friendly things,like no plastic,no bottle,no polythene will be put into use by any individual,if any body will be found in violation of the norms will be penalized according to the norms.

 

Besides DDC DODA directed all the officials to come up with the innovative ideas to make this mela a successful event which will be beneficial for the area to become a tourist destination,that can generate the employment avenues for the unemployed youth.
