*Commissioner Secretary R&B/PWD concluded his two day visit to Doda, inspects various developmental works in Doda* _Laid foundation stone of new road’s,inaugrated roads/bridges,inspected ongoing developmental projects_

Commissioner Secretary R&B/PWD Khurshid Ahmed Shah on his two day visit to Doda, inspected various developmental works including ongoing progress on road works being executed by R&B/PWD, PMGSY,JKPCC department in district Doda. 

 

District Development Commissioner (DDC)  Doda, Dr Sagar D Doifode, Chief Engineer PWD/ R&B, Jammu Nasir Goni, Chief Engineer PMGSY Jammu Des Raj, Executive Director JKPCC N.D Khwaja, XEN R&B Doda, XEN PMGSY, XEN JKPCC, besides concerned officers/officials remained present on the occasion.

 

During his visit, he inspected the sheva dal bridge at Thathri, newly established make shift campus of GMC doda, visited the site  of under construction teaching hospital Doda, Polytechnic college beoli,inspected under construction residential quarter’s for doctors and paramedical staff ,district court complex and sub district  hospital Bhaderwah, inaugrated road from  krara to bhela,bridge at barath road nallah besides laid foundation stone of construction of parmaz link road,pranoo shahpura to phangota road,road from NH to shaja near sui gadi in the presence of DDC and Chief engineer PWD.

 

Speaking on the occassion, the Commissioner/ Secretary said that with the opening of these roads will serve as a lifeline to the inhabitants of the area.  

 

Yesterday, Commissioner Secretary R&B/PWD also convened a meeting with XEN’s of executing agencies PWD, PMGSY, JKPCC here and reviewed progress of ongoing projects being executed in the district Doda under various schemes like  CRF, NABARD, languishing,state and district share.

 

During the meeting, he directed all the concerned authorities to laid stress on completion of roads, buildings and bridges in a time bound manner and ask the DDC to call a meeting of all plant holders for speeding up the pace of ongoing road works before the start of winter season.

 

He further asked the executing authorities to be committed, to provide better road connectivity and identify the areas where more such link roads and upgradation of existing roads are required.

 

He also made a visit at GMC doda and directed the concerned executing agency to speed up the pace of works and ensure timely completion of maximum works so that the classes will be started from the next session positively besides ask the executing agencies to  blacktop the seri to chahtra road and directed them to complete other important roads and bridges before the arrival of winter season.

 

Commissioner/ Secretary R&B/PWD has also ask the DDC to review all the developmental projects on routine basis so that they will get finished under fixed timeline for the convenience of the general public.

 

Moreover he also directed the authorities of the executive agencies to work in collaboration with the contractor’s and ask them to solve their basic genuine issues on priority basis so that the pending works shall be started and completed within the stipulated time.
