*DDC and SP Operations Doda inaugurates First ever two day- Doda film festival*

DODA, Doda 23:To entertain,motivate and aware the youth of Doda with the help of movies, District administration Doda,organises the first ever film festival at Doda,town hall today.

 

District Development Commissioner Doda, Dr Sagar D Doifode who is supervising the whole event, was also the Guest of honour and SP Operations Doda Sh R P Singh who was invited as Chief guest on the occasion, today inaugurated the two day-long film festival during which movies on children, sports, and culture would be screened.

 

Speaking on the occasion, the DDC said that the initiative has been taken to engage, aware and entertain the youth of the district by screening various educational and entertaining documentaries for which there shall be no entry charges for audience.

 

He said the initiative has been started on a pilot basis to get feedback of the general public and also applauded the efforts of the team members to manage to organise this first ever film fest on such a short notice,so well.

 

Moreover while addressing the huge gathering Chief guest of the occasion welcome this initiative and ask all people of the district to take part in this program, to make it a successful event.

 

In the first phase, he said, students of various Govt as well as private institutions besides general public shall take part in the screening of films, which include awareness regarding schemes sponsored by the government like beti bachao beti padhao, documentaries based on the district level initiatives, movies on sports,climate change, patriotism will be screened.

 

The others who were present during the inaugral function are CEO Doda, President MC Doda, Administrative officer,AD GMC Doda, besides other officials of district administration Doda.
