*Deputy Commissioner reviews implementation of medical assistance scheme RBSK in the district* _Urges the concerned to recognise the importance/potential benefit of the scheme, directed to complete the screening/health check-up of all the schools across the district within two months_

DODA October,21:

Deputy Commissioner Doda, Dr Sagar D Doifode, today reviewed the implementation of health and medical assistance scheme RBSK in Doda district at a meeting with concerned officers.

 

The meeting was attended by ADDC Doda, ADC, CPO, CMO, CEO, Medical Superindent DH Doda, DSWO Doda,besides BMO’s and Mo’s were present.

 

The DC took stock of implementation of Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK) and other related things of the scheme. The concerned officers apprised the DC of total number of schools visited and number of children found positive for identified health conditions across the district.

 

The DC shows overall disatisfaction while reviewing the progess of the scheme as it was not in tune with the visits made by the health teams and students diagnosed positive/negative.

 

It is necessary to  inform that RBSK is a new initiative aimed at screening of children from 0 to 18 years for 4 Ds – Defects at birth, Diseases, Deficiencies and Development Delays including Disabilities. Children diagnosed with illnesses shall receive follow up including surgeries at tertiary level, free of cost under NRHM.

 

The DC directed the CEO to appoint a nodal officer who will coordinate with all the heads of the schools across the district and will keep all the necessary information regarding the implementation of the scheme in all the schools.

 

Moreover DC directed the concerned authorities to keep photograpic evidences of all the health check up’s which will be conducted in the schools, besides ask them to give case sheets to all the screened students.

 

BMO’s were directed to devise a rational schedule for conduct of the upcoming health camps in each school under the scheme and same shall be submitted to the heads of the fellow departments without any fail.

 

Further DC Doda directed the CMO doda to move the proposal of hiring of the vehicles in two days,so that vehicles facility shall be provided to the teams for the smooth functioning of the scheme. 

 

Further DC ask the ADDC to recieve the monthly progress report of each MO today positively and took the fortnight review of the scheme and the progress report shall be communicated/submitted to his office accordingly.
