District Level Symposium organized by DIET Doda Topic “Value Education in the present scenario”

Doda, October 13:- District level Symposium on the topic “Value Education in the present scenario” was held in the Girls Higher Secondary School Doda in which ten participants, one from each Educational zone of the District Doda participated. The symposium was conducted by District Institute of Education and Training Doda after completing the same exercise at School level and zone level wherefrom the zonal level topper were selected for the district level competition.
On the occasion, Senior Superintendent of Police Doda Sh. Mumtaz Ahmed was the chief guest on the occasion and Ex-Field Advisor to SIE Jammu Sh. K.L Parihar was the guest of honour.
Ch. Lal Hussain Principal District Institute of Education & Training Doda (DIET) while addressing the students stressed upon character building and importance of value education in shaping the character during the formative stages of their lives.
The SSP Doda in his massage stressed that school should not be entrusted with the sole responsibility of character building and imparting value education but the parents of the students and the society as a whole should also shoulder the responsibility for inculcation the values among the students.
The students must develop regular reading habits and motivate the fellow students to follow the same. They should share their learning experiences for better understanding the day to day concept.
Miss Mehr-un-Nissa of High School Khara was adjudged 1st where as Mr. Sohil Ahmed student of High School Dhara and Miss Devnshi Katoch of Girls Higher Secondary School was adjudged 2nd and 3rd respectively.
The 1st , 2nd and 3rd position holder were awarded cash prize of Rs. 5000, 3000 and 2000 respectively whereas all the participant students were given consolation prize of Rs. 1000 each.
