_PHE department_ *DDC reviewed the implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission-Har Ghar Nal Se Jal, status of languishing and Back to Village Projects* _Also reviewed the status of languishing and Back to Village works of PDD department_ *Directs to strictly follow the fixed timelines for 100% completion,urges BDC Chairman’s to maintain close coordination with the line departments*

District Development Commissioner Dr Sagar D Doifode today chaired the joint meeting of concerned officers to review the implementation of “Jal Jeevan Mission-Har Ghar Nal Se Jal”, besides took review of status of languishing and Back to Village Projects of PDD and PHE departments.
 
The meeting was attended by CPO Doda,SE PDD and Hydraulics, ACD,BDC Chairman’s,DPO Doda besides by the concerned officials of both the department’s.
 
While discussing the implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission-Har Ghar Nal Se Jal,a threadbare discussions were held on various issues like, screening of all households who are unconnected with tapped water at Block/ Panchayats level, identification of  completed and ongoing WSS which can be taken up on top priority for providing functional household tapped connection (FHTC)by retrofitting,under New schemes and identification of schemes with physical progress more than 50% etc.
 
DDC was apprised by the SE hydraulic that 6  blocks were identified across the district in the first stage under which the tapped water to the unconnected households shall be completed by the end of June 2020,and among the six block’s one block shall be completed by the end of March 2020.
 
DDC directed the executing department to conduct house to house survey of the unconnected households in close contact with the BDC Chairpersons,so that no one shall be left out  in their respective panchayats under the aforementioned scheme,and DPR’s shall be submitted to the higher authorities for approval,only after the final authentication of member PRI’s, BDO’s and Tehsildar’s.
 
Moreover while reviewing the status of languishing projects DDC was apprised that total 32 schemes  are ongoing and approved under languishing, of out of which 19 schemes have to be completed by March 2020 and rest in 2021.
 
For the completion of 19 schemes, DDC directed the executing department to complete every 2-3 schemes in every 15 days and to tender out all the work in all aspects and to ensure their allotment within 3 days and compliance report shall be submitted to the DC office without any fail.
 
Regarding Back to Village works , DDC was informed that estimates are submitted to the RDD for authorisation,in this regard DDC directed RDD for immediate action and ask the PHE department to invite short term tender and complete all the works at earliest.
 
While reviewing the status of languishing and Back to Village works of PDD sector, DDC informed them that these projects are vital for the convenience of the people of the district and shall be completed within the stipulated time frame,as the progress of the same are monitored by High level committee.
 
Moreover he also directed them to 
Increase the required load for sufficient supply of power to this district, reducing the curtailment schedule as committed by the department in the earlier meeting.
