*Back to Village programme commences at Doda under Phase-III, people show enthusiastic and overwhelming response* *DDC seeks the implementation of the program in letter and spirit,besides said it will help to take the structure of planning at grassroot level*

With the magnificent launch of Back to Village Programme-II at Doda on 25th of November, a beacon ray of hope and delight was seen on the faces of village people including men and women,elder people and youth who showed their  great interest while participating in the programme in large number with full zest and zeal.
 
The said programme is being conducted  under the overall supervision of District Development Commissioner (DDC) Doda,Dr Sagar D Doifode.
 
It is pertinent to mention here that ‘Back to the Village’ programme is an ambitious and innovative initiative of the government to reach out to the people at the grassroots level which not ensure deliverance of public services  at doorsteps but also provides a platform to villagers who can put their issues of concern before the visiting officer straight forwardely. 
 
The officer concerned shall draw a holistic view point  of general public and bring out the general  highlights of the area based on consensus .
 
DDC informed that 161 Gazetted Officers have successfully completed their task  of implementing  ‘Back to Village’ programme successfully in earlier two phases and 3rd phase which have started today under which 76 panchayts of district Doda will be covered.
The entire programme was scheduled to be conducted in three phases starting from 25th of November 2019 wherein 79 panchayts were covered in Phase-I on 25th and 26th November, 82 panchayts were covered in Phase II on 27th and 28th November,76 panchayats will be covered in the last phase which started today 29th November to 30th November.
 
Further, DDC stated that the concerned visiting officer has to stay in the designated panchayat for two days including one night halt and will interact with every strata of society to understand their problems, issues, grievances and demands which shall be projected to higher authorities through a detailed prescribed performa  by the concerned gazetted officer,besides they have to organise one event in the concerned panchayat,to visit the govt institutions and to inaugrate the works completed by various departments under various heads.
 
DDC expressed his hope that the feedback so obtained will help the government to  assess the needs and prime requirements of people and accordingly the various central and state government schemes and programmes will be tailored in improving delivery of village-specific services and making the village life better in terms improved amenities and economic upliftment.
 
Moreover he also said that this second edition of Back to Village Programme-II will also help to assess the developmental initiative’s that are taken across the district after the successful completion of the Back to Village-I,besides to review the implementation of the individual benifit schemes like Ayushman Bharat, PMSYM, PM-KISSAN, etc on the ground level and will take the developmental process with the help of this initiative to the next level.
 
Also many secretariat level officers besides ADDC, ADC also visited in the panchayats to ensure the success of the program across the district.
