*DDC Doda reviews implementation of ‘Jal Jeevan Mission- Har Ghar Nal Se Jal’* _Asked the concerned executing department to grab this opportunity for the benefit of general public of the district_

Doda, December 09: District Development Commissioner Doda- (DDC) Dr Sagar D. Doifode, today convened a meeting of concerned officers here and reviewed the implementation of “Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) – Har Ghar Nal Se Jal”.
 
The meeting was attended by SE Hydraulic Circle Doda,CPO Doda, TO to XEN PHE Doda, AEE PHE Marmat,Assar, Chiralla, Bhaderwah,JE PHE special sub division Gandoh,SO Planning etc.
 
A threadbare discussions were held on various issues like, screening of all households who are unconnected with tapped water at block/ panchayts level, identification of  completed and ongoing WSS which can be taken up on top priority for providing functional household tapped connection (FHTC)by retrofitting,under New schemes and identification of schemes with physical progress more than 50% etc.
 
DDC was apprised by the SE hydraulic that 6  blocks were identified across the district in the first stage under which the tapped water to the unconnected households shall be completed by the end of June 2020,and among the six block’s one block shall be completed by the end of March 2020.
 
Moreover an amount of Rs 96.
00 crore approximately has been projected to the higher ups for the achievement of the target in these 6 blocks by the June of next year,he added.
 
He was further informed by the concerned department that preparation of detailed DPR’s pertaining to the already selected blocks viz. Assar, Marmat,Changa,Jakyas,Bhalesa and Chilli Pingal,under JJM shall be completed in the coming week of December 2019.
 
For rest of all blocks, it was informed to the DDC that preparation of detailed DPR’S are going on and will be submitted the same to Administrative department soon.
 
DDC directed all the concerned to adhere the guidelines as envisaged under Jal Jeevan Mission Action Plan, besides 
directed the concerned authorities to ensure that screening of all households who are unconnected with tapped water at Block/Panchayt level shall be reviewed in error free manner.
 
In this regard, the DDC issued directions to the Tehsildars and BDO’s of the respective tehsils and blocks to reconcile the screening survey report of unconnected households with the concerned AEE’s so that each and every household shall be covered under the scheme, besides appealed the members of PRI’s to include the names of the leftout beneficiaries to avail the facility of tap water under the aforementioned scheme.
 
DDC stated that the Jal Jeevan Mission is aimed at providing 100% tapped water to all households, and it will also involve convergence of schemes to achieve its objectives of sustainable water supply management across the district.
 
DDC asked the concerned authorities to circulate the guidelines and activities to be carried out under the program at grass root level, so that the concept of the Mission could percolate at the grass root level.
