Doda admin’s initiative ‘Understanding Our Gram Panchayats’ takes off DDC interacts with PR members, field functionaries of RDD; rolls out aims, objectives

DODA, DECEMBER 28: District Development Commissioner, Dr Sagar D Doifode today chaired a meeting of the PRI members, field functionaries of the RDD department and briefed them about the initiative of district administration ‘Understanding Our Gram Panchayats’ aimed at self assessment of the gram panchayats.

The initiative has been started on a pilot project basis in the 5 panchayats of the district in collaboration with the Indian School of Public Policy, New Delhi and Rural Development Department.

The meeting was attended by ACD Doda, Akhter Hussain Qazi, DPO Doda, Idrees lone, BDO Kahara, Bhalla, Bhagwah, Ghat, Research scholars of the ISPP, besides Sarpanches and Panches of 5 panchayats.

During the meeting, the ISPP experts discussed in detail the parameters developed by the institute which will help the PRI members to conduct self assessment survey enabling them to record present scenario in actual manner and a understanding of what could be done to remove the critical gaps.

In this regard a format of the indicators were also circulated among the concerned PRI members, which is to be filled  by them to record the actual position of their gram panchayat and formulate an action plan accordingly to remove the recorded critical gaps.
