*BBBP Week:DDC Doda felicitates mothers blessed with girl child,flagged off cyclothon* _Birth of girl child is a blessing for every family, put your best for their education, all possible facilities-DDC_

DODA, January 25: In continuation to celebration of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Week and in order to spread awareness about ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ under ‘Save and educate girl child’ campaign, District Development Commissioner (DDC),Dr Sagar D Doifode today felicitated mothers of newly born girl child, here at District Hospital Doda.

 

ADC Doda Kishori Lal Sharma, Medical Superintendent DH Doda,Dr.Yaqoob Mir,PO ICDS Doda Shahida Parveen besides large number of patients/public, Paramedical Staff,were present during the program.

 

The DDC congratulated the mothers of newly born girl child and their family members and felicitated them with baby kits, as many as 12 mothers of newly born girl child were felicitated.

 

While interacting with the family members blessed with girl child, the DDC stated that they should be thankful to God that they are blessed with girl child and also told them in present times the girls are bringing pride and glory to the nation and excelling in every field and we all have to join hands for their bright future.

 

While addressing the media persons on the occasion,DDC said that number of activities were organised during this week like a conduct of rally, pledge ceremony, signature campaign at sports stadium,under which students including men and women participated in support of this national initiative,and also appealed to all the media fraternity to provide mass coverage to this program so that the message of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao shall be spread in length and breadth across the district.

 

DDC also informed that regular awareness camps under BBBP will be organised across the district in coming days so that the mind set of the society will be changed with regard to the issues like female foeticide, protection for the girl child etc.

 

Meanwhile, A simple but impressive signature campaign on the theme “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao” was also organised by district administration under which DDC Doda, alongwith ADC Doda and officer’s of district administration besides people of Doda including men and women participated at old bus stand Doda here.

 

Later from old bus stand Doda a cycle rally was flagged off by the DDC promoting the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao program under which many students participated.DDC alongwith ADC Doda led the cycle rally from the flag off venue which culminated near akramabad Doda.
