*Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Week long program kickstarted in Doda with signature campaign* _ADC Doda convened meeting of DLTFC members discussed week long activities_ *Pledge administered to participants at Sports Stadium Doda*

As a part of the week long Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign that commenced today, a pledge based on the theme ‘Save and Educate Girl Child’ was administered to the participants by a female ICDS supervisor and signatory campaign on Beti Bachao Beti Padhao was today organized by District administration in collaboration with ICDS department Doda under the Supervision of DDC Doda Dr Sagar D, with Additional Deputy Commissioner Doda Kishori Lal Sharma as a chief guest on the occasion.
A meeting of members of District Level Task Force Committee was also convened today under the chairmanship of ADC Doda at DC office,under which week long activities were discussed, earlier to the start of program.
Hundreds of students including boys and girls, officers/officials of district administration participated in the program at Sports Stadium Doda, besides many girl students spoke on the occasion highlighting the importance of the scheme which aims at empowerment of women in general and girl child in particular.
Pertinent to mention here that BBBP week, which kick started today from Sports Stadium, several activities are scheduled to be carry out across the district during this upcoming week,which will put special focus on generating awareness regarding various laws meant welfare of girl child.
Speaking on the occasion, ADC Doda highlighted the importance of educating and securing girl child and urged for strict enforcement of relevant rules and regulations.
The program was attended by ADC Doda Kishori Lal Sharma, PO ICDS Shahida Parveen, Dy Director Employment, CMO, CEO Doda, PO IWMP, Administrative officer GMC Doda, DSWO/I/C Director Childline Doda Zubair Ahmed alongwith Coordinator and members, AD Planning RDD, District officer Youth Service & Sports Doda, besides by many officers/officials of district administration.
