Panchayat by polls-2020 District Administration Doda gears up for upcoming Panchayat Polls of Vaccant Seats DPEO Doda stresses on coordinated efforts to ensure smooth conduct of free and fair elections.

 

On the occasion, RO’s and ARO’s were imparted training about their role and responsibilities, nomination process, scrutiny of nomination papers,withdrawal of candidature and provisions of the  model code of conduct,besides RO,ARO handbooks were aslo circulated among them.

 

DPEO urged the officers to perform their duties with dedication and strictly adhere to the guidelines of ECI for the smooth conduct of Panchayat polls .He called upon the concerned officers to work in tandem for successful conduct of the Panchayat By-Elections. He enjoined upon the officers to abide by the MCC guidelines.

 

DPEO also directed the BDO’s to arrange one separate room 

for designated RO’s and ARO’s of their respective block at block headquarters so that hassle free process of filling of nominations can be conducted across the district,besides directed the BDO’s and CEO Doda to senstise their field functionaries not to indulge themselves in any kind of political campaigning,if anyone’s complaint will be registered in DPEO or ACR office, strict action will be initiated against the erring official under MCC provisions with imediate effect.

 

He informed all that MCC  has been into place with immediate effect and any violation regarding MCC would be deal in strict manner,ACR Doda kaiser Ahmed Bhawani has been designated as Nodal Officer of MCC.

 

Moreover DPEO asked all the RO’s and ARO’s to ensure the use of good writing skills while filling the nomination forms of the candidates so that at the time of ballot paper printing,the designated Nodal officer for printing and his team will not face any problem and incorrect spellings can be avoided for the smooth conduct of election.
