_Covid-19_ *District administration holds sensitization program for SDM’s, Tehsildars and SHO’s* _Directs them strictly to understand their role and responsibilities to tackle the spread of Coronavirus_

DODA,March 16:

District administration Doda today organised a sensitization program for the SDM’s,Tehsildars and SHO’s of the district, inorder to make them aware about their crucial role to combat the spread of the Coronavirus in the district.

 

The sensitization program was chaired by DDC Doda Dr Sagar D Doifode besides SSP Doda Mumtaz Ahmed, ADC Bhaderwah, Doda,ACR Doda,CMO Doda,DEPO Doda and other officials of health department were also present during the program.

 

During the program District Epidemiologist Umar Anayat Khan in detail briefed the participants through powerpoint presentation about various causes, symptoms besides measures which needs to be taken on priority basis to combat the spread of Coronavirus in the district.

 

Moreover he also described in detail about the difference of quarantine,isolation and social distancing to the participants,also shows them through videos how to quarantine any suspected at home, besides informed them about the changing pattern of the affect of the Coronavirus from country to country with the help of acquired data.

 

While speaking on the occasion DDC in strict manner stressed upon the officer’s to understand their role and responsibilities in effective way, so that the spread of this infection can be contained in the district.

 

By citing the example of those countries who have failed to take up the preventive measures at earliest due to their lathargic approach are witnessing the disaster,loss of precious human lives are going up, despite of having all the required Infrastructure,we need to get lesson from this and should work tirelessly untill positive solution will not come out,DDC added.

 

He has directed them to aware the people in their respective jurisdictions about the importance of preventive measures which shall be taken into account in serious manner, besides ask them to restrict every public,religious gathering in their areas.

 

DDC also Informed them whenever health department passed on a direction to quarantine any individual in their jurisdiction the order shall be immediately enforced in letter and spirit without any delay, besides ask them to be more vigilant in their locality about any foreign travel history which shall be immediately communicated to the district administration.

 

Besides this disinfection of public places, enforcement of Section 144, awareness through religious places were also discussed.
