*DDC chaired one day training program of field functionaries of health department regarding Corona Virus* _Calls for mass awareness,Ask people not to panic, Said district administration is well prepared to Combat CoronaVirus_

District Development Commissioner,Dr Sagar D Doifode today chaired a one day training program organised by the District Health Society under IDSP for the MO’s,Lab Technicians,ANM’s regarding the prevention and preparedness to tackle the cases of corona virus if any across the district.

 

During the day long training program Assitant Professor Microbiology Dr Safiya,Dr Mehwish(Pathologist) and Umar Anayat Khan District Epidemiologist gave detail presentation about Corona Virus and its preparedness in the district, besides Dr Mehwish gave a live demonstration to the participants regarding how to wear personal prevention equipment while dealing with the cases of corona virus if any in the district.

 

While interacting with the participants DDC directed all the health officials of the district to sensitize the general public in their respective blocks about the causes, symptoms and preventive measures to contain the affect of the virus, besides ask them to tell the people in their jurisdiction to follow healthy and hygienic lifestyle which includes proper hand washing, to eat healthy food etc.

 

Further DDC ask the health department to organise a special session of proper hand washing in all the schools across the district so that mass awareness can be generated at micro level, besides appealed all the people of the district to inform the district administration if anyone in their locality or in their close contact shall have a travel history of abroad or to any of the affected countries so that necessary action in advance will be taken to avoid any hue and cry.

 

Later DDC inspected the isolation ward which had been already set up inside the premises of the Associated hospital of the GMC Doda with proper staff and equipment’s.

 

The others who were present during the program are CMO Doda Dr Mushtaq Ahmed Shah,MS Associated Hospital GMC Doda Dr Yaqoob Mir, District health officer Dr Tariq besides officials of information department and media person’s.
