*Doda:Heads of Schools sensitized about Coronavirus prevention* _Intensive health and hygiene exercise kick-started on mission mode across all the schools of the district(DDC)_

DODA,March 05: Continuing its efforts to disseminate more awareness about Coronavirus prevention across the district,Doda administration holds a sensitization program for the heads of the schools today at DC office Doda.

 

The program was chaired by DDC Doda,Dr Sagar D Doifode, besides SSP Doda Mumtaz Ahmed, ADC Bhaderwah Rakesh Kumar,PO ICDS Shahida Parveen,CEO BDA Dr Rajendra Khajuria,CMO Doda Dr Mushtaq Ahmed,MS DH Doda Dr Yaqoob Mir,DHO Dr Tariq Masood,CEO Doda Tariq Hussain,ACR Doda Kaiser Ahmed Bhawani,SDM Gandoh Pritam Lal Thapa, SDM Assar Rishi kumar,DEPO Ayaz Mughal,ZEO’s,BMO’s and SHO’s were also present.

 

While addressing to the school heads, DDC directed them to get well acquainted with all the preventive measures so that the same awareness will be transferred among all the students across the district.

 

DDC informed the participants that corona virus mainly spread in individuals after coming in close physical contact with the affected person if any and about 90% physical contact are being made through handshakes.

 

In this regard DDC directed them in strict manner to carry out intensive health and hygiene exercise in their respective institutions for the next 10-15 days in four shifts which will primarily focus on proper hand washing techniques so that the students will practice this habit in their lives on daily basis to avoid the affect of virus.

 

DDC stressed about to make effective use of water and soap in the school’s while hand washing sessions, besides ask them to brief the students about the technique to proper use alcohol based hand sanitisers.

 

He also directed the health department to organise more training programs in the next 2-3 days for all the Sarpanches, Panches,Asha and Anganwadi workers of the district so that awareness about Coronavirus prevention can be disseminate at the microlevel.

 

He has directed the ADC’s,SDM’s to strictly monitor in the school’s that the hand washing sessions are regularly being conducted at the designated times,besides directed the school heads that any laxity on this part shall be seriously dealt and erring officials will be suspended without any fail.

 

DDC also directed the police officers to place a surveillance team at Jathi and Khaleni alongwith health officials to record every inward movement to the district, besides ask the SDM’S to collect the information with the help of local resources whether any individual has a travel history to abroad or to any affected countries from December till now and to communicate the same if any to the district or hospital administration so that necessary preventive measures can be taken without any delay.

 

Further DDC ensured the general public that there is no need to panic and appealed all the people of the district to inform the district administration if anyone in their locality or in their close contact shall have a travel history of abroad or to any of the affected countries so that necessary action in advance will be taken to avoid any hue and cry.

 

Earlier CMO Doda,Dr Mehwish in detail discussed the causes, symptoms and preventive measures with the participants and also showed them the proper handwashing techniques through videos.
