_Covid-19_ *Doda administration has started preparation and distribution of ration kits on war footing in the district* _4000 kits to be distributed among destitutes and distressed in the first phase across the district_

Doda,April 16:

In order to make sure that the destitute, distressed and the migrant labourers stuck in the district do not face any shortage of food material during the ongoing lockdown restrictions amid Coronavirus threat, District Administration under the able guidance of District Development Commissioner Doda, Dr Sagar D Doifode, has started the preparation of ration kits which are to be distributed by the administration among the needy across the district.

 

Besides to ensure that the kits reach the deserving beneficiaries, it has been decided that the kits would be distributed among the destitutes identified by the PRI’s, and BDOs of all the blocks. Besides requisitions from the Tehsildars are also being catered to.

 

Functioning at the premises of ACD office, under the supervision of Sh Prem Singh Chib (ACD) who is also the Nodal officer for the distribution of essential commodities and Amir Suhail (KAS Probationer), a substantial manpower has been engaged by the District Administration in the preparation and packing of the kits so as to cater to the needs of destitute and the migrant labourers. 

 

The administration is geared up to distribute around 4000 kits during the Ist phase.As of today, 297 kits have been distributed among deserving beneficiaries in various blocks of the district, whereas 54 kits have been dispatched to Bhaderwah and Bhalla for further distribution by the local administration.
