COVID-19: *DC Doda distributes kits of essential commodities among destitute families* _Another goodwill gesture by Habib Trust for voluntary contribution_

DODA, APRIL 02:

As part of the initiative launched by the District Administration for the people/voluntary organisations who wants to contribute in the efforts already taken by District Administration during the time of global crisis of COVID-19 pandemic, Today a Doda based Charitable Trust namely Habib Trust offered their voluntary contribution  by donating 50 kits comprised of daily essential commodities for destitute families of rural areas of the district.

 

The Deputy Commissioner(DC) DODA, Dr Sagar D Doifode, welcomed and appreciated the step taken by the Habib Trust Doda and also distributed these kits among needy families of rural areas who due to the lock down have been stucked at Doda.He also distributed face masks among these families to mitigate the risk of infection of outbreak.

 

On the occasion the Chairman Habib Trust was also requested to ensure that the kits would be delivered at the door step of every designated family and the whole process of distribution should be done under the supervision of district administration without violating the restrictions imposed across the district.

 

On the occasion, DC said that the step has been taken by the district administration to provide a common platform to those who are desirous to extend their support during present time of epidemic.

 

In the meantime DC said that every effort is being taken to provide  the daily essential commodities at the peoples’ doorsteps without disturbing the restrictions imposed and for which necessary mechanism has been already formulated.

 

DC Doda also made a respectful appeal to all the peoples/ voluntary organisations / trustees to come forward to support the district administration in helping the needies during this time of lock down restrictions.
