*District Administration roped in all BDC Chairpersons & started Mass distribution of face mask’s as a preventive measure to combat the spread of COVID-19 across the rural areas*

In continuation to the efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19 across the district,District administration Doda today has started Mass distribution of Face masks among the general public of rural areas as well as among the officials working in various govt departments.The exercise of manufacturing/distribution of mask’s is being done under the close supervision of DDC Doda Dr Sagar D Doifode.
 
Near about 17000 face mask’s has been supplied to various departments like Municipal Council/ committee’s, Health, Para Military forces, Police, PHE, PDD, food supplies and GMC Doda whose officials are working as frontline functionaries to combat COVID 19. 
 
In addition to the above District Adminstration has also roped up all the BDC Chairpersons of the district and handed over face masks among all 17 BDC’s of the district for further distribution among the general public of their respective areas.
 
DDC also informed that this is the first installment of face masks which is being provided to the concerned BDC’S for further distribution among the rural areas of their respective areas and will be provided more in upcoming days positively.
 
“District Administration is not going to left any stone unturned in order to provide a safe and secure environment  to  the public” said Dr Sagar D Doifode DDC Doda. He further made an appeal to the public not to voilate the restrictions imposed in view of lockdown and to cooperate with the District Adminstration.
 
It is pertinent to mention here that keeping in view the scarcity of face mask’s in the market District Administration on the directions of DDC Doda had  already started manufacturing/production of 1lac triple layer face mask’s and 10000 protective gowns on the war footing in the district to ensure the safety of the general public of the district amid Coronavirus threat.
