*District Magistrate Doda Appeals people to download Arogya Setu application in Mobile*

Doda, April 14:

District Magistrate Doda Dr Sagar D Doifode today appealed to people of the district to download *Arogya Setu application* in their mobile phones.

 

It is pertinent to mention here that the application is developed by the Ministry of electronics and IT to help it’s citizens identify their risk of contracting the novel Coronavirus.

 

Arogya Setu is designed to keep a user informed in case he/she has crossed paths with someone who has tested positive.The tracking is done through a Bluetooth and location generated social graph which can show user interaction with anyone who has tested positive.

 

Moreover, it has a tool for self testing.The user is asked to answer a number of questions,In case some of the answer suggest Covid-19 symptoms,the information will be sent to a government server.The data will then help the government to take timely steps and initiate the isolation procedure,if necessary, besides the user will be alerted if someone came in close proximity with unknowingly,tests positive.The application alerts are accompanied by instructions on how to self isolate and what to do in case the user develops symptoms.

 

After installing the application, people have to switch on the Bluetooth and location and have to keep it on every time.
