*06th International Yoga Day celebrated in Doda with social distancing* _Let’s us work towards adopting yoga in Life -DDC_

The 6th International Yoga Day was celebrated at Doda respectively under the theme”Yoga at Home, Yoga with family”in which DDC Doda Dr Sagar D Doifode attended the yoga session at his residence, besides officers, officials and people from different sections of society took part through online mode.
 
Amid Coronavirus threat, it was decided that this year week long yoga sessions were organised by the concerned authorities under which scores of people participated from their respective homes, besides yoga sessions were also organised for the inmates of various quarantine centre’s following the directions of DDC Doda with social distancing.
 
Spekaing on the occasion, DDC observed that Yoga is a scientific method maintaining the health and balance of the mind and body and its techniques have now been reoriented to suit modern sociological needs and lifestyles, thereby helping in mitigation of diseases and promotion of health.
 
Emphasising the importance of Yoga for physical and mental fitness particularly in this time of Covid-19 pandemic, DDC stressed that yoga should be followed by all the people and there should also be special arrangements for teaching it to senior citizens.
 
DDC also participated in all the the Yoga sessions organised by the department conducted by Yoga expert.
 
DDC Doda said The International Yoga Day aims to raise awareness worldwide of the many benefits of practicing yoga – physical, mental and spiritual practice.
 
He urged upon the cross section of society to keep their surroundings clean for Healthy life and incorporate yoga in your daily life as this is the  best treatment for all diseases, and if practiced regularly, it eradicates mental stress and keeps the body and mind fit and also helps in boosting the immune system which is imperative nowadays to keep ourselves secure from Covid-19 virus.
