*9.0 Mts of Fresh Vegetables loaded Refrigerated Van dispatched to Jammu from Assar* _DDC calls it a big step towards farmers prosperity_

Doda,June 22:

In order to boost the agricultural activities in the district besides to ensure the prosperity of the local vegetable growers, today under the supervision of DDC Doda Dr Sagar D Doifode, SDM Assar Rishi Sharma dispatched the first consignment of 9.0 Mts of fresh vegetables loaded Refrigerated Van to Jammu.

 

The facility of Refrigerated Van will not only help in transportation of the local produce to the nearest Mandis but will also help in taking a step forward towards doubling the farmer’s income which is one of the main initiative of the UT Administration, DDC added.

 

DDC also informed that already directions has been given to the concerned authorities to extend the maximum help to the local farmers, so that they can can take maximum benefits of this facility provided to them by the UT administration.

 

He also said that he has already directed the agricultural department to notify the areas across the district which has a huge potential of vegetable cultivation and to provide them this facility so that they can sell their produce in the nearest Mandis at good prices.

 

Meanwhile DDC also extended gratitude to the Principal Secretary Agriculture Production and Farmers Welfare UT of J&K Sh Navin Kumar Choudhary for alloting the facility of Refrigerated Van to the district which has now started bearing the fruits due to which perishable vegetables can be easily transported to the farthest distances in secure and fresh manner.
