*DDC Doda reviews functioning of RDD* _Said 30% new works under MGNREGA started, Set’s fresh timeline of 15 days to start the 50% works in all the wards across the district_

Doda, JUNE 27: District Development Commissioner Doda,Dr Sagar D Doifode reviewed functioning of Rural Development Department in the district.

The meeting thoroughly reviewed the status of ongoing works taken in hand under various schemes till date, persondays generated under MGNREGA since relaxations besides took stock of the physical and financial status of 14th FC works,B2V projects,SBM, PMAY etc.

While reviewing the status of the works under new plan of Mgnrega 20-21, DDC fixed the timeline of 15 days to the BDO’s to ensure the start of 50% works in all the ward’s across the district, besides asking them to complete all the SOS works within the 15 days physically without any fail.

Reviewing the progress on rejected transactions issue, DDC has been Informed that more than Rs 20 lakh rejected amount has been reimbursed in the accounts verified till now and the process of account verification is ongoing and in the upcoming days all the rejected transaction amount will be reimbursed in the accounts of the concerned beneficiaries.

Assessing the completion of the PMAY houses,the DDC set the target for completion of 20% houses by all the BDO’s to complete the houses by the end of July and also said that district administration is eyeing the completion of all the houses by March 2021.

DDC also directed the BDO’s to serve the notices to those beneficiaries who have received the Ist installment,but not yet started the construction of Pmay houses within 7 days,after which if they again failed to start the work,their land will be attached to the revenue department with immediate effect.

The DDC also emphasized that works taken up under 14th FC,B2V shall be duly monitored as per prescribed guidelines and concerned BDOs were directed to conduct regular monitoring, besides involve the BDC’S and local PRI members of their respective areas,in completing the projects taken in hand in their respective locality with utmost priority.

Meanwhile DDC also asked the CPO Doda to notify the dates for special adhaar camp in the Ist week of the upcoming month so that beneficiaries without adhaar card can be registered on Awass plus, besides directed the BDO’s to delete the double entries made in the left out beneficiaries under SBM.

He also directed them to make the payments under the SBM and utilise all the available funds and to furnish the UC’s in the office of DPO without any fail.

The DDC said that the Department of Rural Development has capacity and potential to absorb huge labour class in providing alternate employment opportunities in earning their basic livelihood, it can also change socio economic diversity of underprivileged and weaker sections.

He added that every officer or official representing the department has to discharge his duties with utmost dedication and responsibility.

The DDC informed the meeting that he himself is keenly monitoring the performances on the ground and will take fortnightly review of functioning of RDD in the district.

The DDC directed BDOs, Engineering wing and other concerned to understand and know his respective blocks in every aspect and added that the concerned shall do away with Status quo approach rather follow pro active approach, work with full intent and rejuvenate the blocks.

The meeting among others was attended by CPO, ACD, DPO Doda, Ex. Er. REW, all BDOs, and other concerned officials.
