*District administration Doda issues advisory,advised people not to move near river Chenab*

DODA, June 24: In view of the periodic maintenance of the dam of Dul Hasti Power Station, the Deputy Commissioner Doda, Dr Sagar D Doifode today issued advisory for the general public to keep away from the river Chenab.

 

As per the communication recieved from the management of Dulhasti Power Station of NHPC Limited has cautioned the general public of Kishtwar and Doda districts not to move near Chenab river on June 26,2020 from 00:00 hours to 18:00 hours as power station dam shall be opened for periodic silt flushing during this period, the water level of Chenab River may rise by 2-3 metres temporarily during the aforementioned time.

 

Hence everybody is requested not to venture near the River bank. They should also avoid their cattle, their trucks and vehicles going to the River side. This co-operation will support to save the General Public and their belongings.

 

After the issue of this advisory, District Administration as well as Dul Hasti management will not be responsible for any kind of loss incurred to life or commodity.
