*District Administration Doda to celebrate Yoga Week with Social Distancing* _DDC calls for mass awareness and highlighted the importance of Yoga in bringing peace of mind and to combat the mental stress especially during the ongoing pandemic_

In View of the ongoing scare of COVID-19 pandemic, the upcoming 6th international day of Yoga will be celebrated under the theme Yoga at *Home and Yoga with Family* as the mass gathering is strictly prohibited across the country amid Coronavirus threat.
In this regard the department of Health and Medical education and Directorate of ISM/AYUSH J&K has therefore decided to celebrate the upcoming international Day of yoga in a new way. Before 21st of June, one full week has been dedicated for the awareness of general public through social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. 
Live sessions are being carried out by Yoga therapists and these sessions are being attended by number of people through online mode by clicking on the links i.e,
The general public of the district can also join the live streaming of yoga session from 7 am to 8 am in the morning by visiting the official Facebook page of ADMO Doda i.e
Moreover One such session was today conducted at the residence of the DC Doda which was attended by the Deputy Commissioner Doda,Dr Sagar D Doifode alingwith the officers/officials from the department of AYUSH Doda.
In his message to the public of district Doda, the Deputy Commissioner laid stress on the prevention of COVID 19. He also highlighted the importance of Yoga in daily routine to combat the mental stress and also helps in increasing the immunity power.
Deputy Commissioner Doda also advised public to follow the measures of Social Distancing and also urged them to ensure the use of face masks so that the spread of COVID-19 can be stopped across the district in toto.
Yogi Anil Thakur ,a renowned Yoga expert from district Doda demonstrated the Yoga Asans and also briefed about the benefits of Yoga.
Dr. R.k Shan ADMO Doda and Dr Ashwani Kumar District Coordinator for Yoga Week celebration also participated in the event.
