*ADC Doda reviews forthcoming Eid-ul-Adha arrangements* _Eid prayer to be offered at home, Gatherings across the district prohibited as a control measure amid Covid-19 pandemic_

DODA, JULY 29: Additional Deputy Commissioner  (ADC) Doda, Kishori Lal Sharma,today chaired a meeting to review forthcoming Eid-ul-Adha arrangements.

 

In view of the current COVID-19 pandemic, the meeting discussed implementation of SOP’s to prevent the spread of deadly coronavirus during the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Adha.

 

The ADC Doda on the occasion directed the concerned to ensure proper sanitation, fumigation, distribution of essential commodities, uninterrupted electricity and water supply besides availability of poultry and sacrificial animals.

 

In order to curb black marketing, profiteering and hoarding on the eve of Eid, the ADC directed the concerned officers to intensify the market checking and take strict legal action against the erring traders.

 

He issued necessary directions to the concerned to work with dedication, synergy and close coordination so that people do not face any inconvenience during the upcoming festival.  

 

Besides it has been decided that there shall be no Eid prayer in Eid gah’s or in mosques anywhere in the district, and advised the public to offer Eid prayers at their homes by following all the necessary SOP’s amid Coronavirus threat.

 

Moreover the ADC directed all the shopkeepers to abide the necessary guidelines issued by the District Administration in view of the Covid-19 pandemic, besides directed the concerned authorities to take strict action under rules against all the erring shopkeepers.

 

The meeting was attended by ASP Doda Mr. Popsy, ACR Doda Kasier Ahmed Bhawani, ACD Doda Prem Singh Chib, CMO Doda Dr. Mushtaq Ahmed,besides other officers of PWD R&B, I&FC, PDD,Jal Shakti, Animal husbandry, Sheep, Municipal Council, President beopar mandal and other associations were also present.
