*DDC Doda conducted market checking ahead of forthcoming Eid-Ul- Adha* _Took stock of the implementation of Covid-19 safety measures, Realises penalties from the erring trader’s and people without face mask_

Doda,July 30:

District Development Commissioner Doda, Dr Sagar D Doifode today conducted extensive market checking in the Doda town, took stock of the implementation of Covid-19 safety measures, besides also reviewed the implementation of the approved rates for the sale of sacrificial animals and other essential commodities.

 

During the tour, the DDC interacted with the private livestock sellers and enquired about the rates on which the sacrificial animals are being sold.

 

DDC asked the owners of the sacrificial animals to sell their livestock as per the rates approved by the District Administration, besides directed the Animal and Sheep husbandry officials to ensure that the approved rates are being implemented in letter and spirit across the district.

 

Meanwhile during the tour, the DDC also imposed penalties upon the erring shopkeepers and people wandering in the town without face mask.

 

DDC directed the concerned designated authorities to ensure that the safety measures of Covid-19 are being followed by the sellers and consumer’s across the district, besides directed them to initiate legal proceedings against the erring shopkeepers as well as people.

 

DDC also informed that various flying squad’s from different departments have been constituted across the district to curb the black marketing and hoarding of prices of the essential commodities across the district ahead of forthcoming festival of Eid, besides Informed that they have strictly directed to ensure that the approved rates of various essential commodities are being implemented in the entire district.

 

Others who accompanied the DDC during the tour are ASP Doda Mr Popsy, SHO Doda Munir Ahmed Khan besides officials of information department.
