*DDC Doda flagged off group of elected representatives of PRI’s and Urban Local Bodies for kashmir* _Said strengthening of grassroot level democracy main focus of the UT Administration_

District Development Commissioner Doda, Dr Sagar D Doifode today flagged off group of elected representatives of PRI’s and Urban Local Bodies for kashmir from here today.
 
During the tour a Coffee Table Book ,based on the district achievements done in the last one and half year, will be launched by the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of the UT of J&K, the DDC added.
 
He also said that the  Coffee Table Book which have been published by the District Administration Doda on the directions of UT administration, will showcase the development done in the last one and half year by the different departments of the district in pictorial form. 
 
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC Informed that it will be a 03 day tour during which the elected representatives will get a opportunity to interact with the Hon’ble LG and other key officials of the UT administration.
 
Moreover he also informed that this tour will also provide the opportunity to the representatives of the local self government to interact with other representative’s of different districts and will get familiar with the different developmental activities which is being executed in different areas across the UT by the elected representatives of different panchayats and municipalities.
 
Being in the process of decision making for more than 1year, the elected representatives of the local self government have actively participated in the development process of the UT as well as in the district’s, besides UT administration is also committed to strengthen the grass root level democracy across the UT by initiating various progressive institutional changes, the DDC added.
 
The others who were present during the occasion are ACD Doda Prem Singh Chib, Dy SP Headquarters Manoj Kumar, SHO Doda Munir Ahmed Khan, officials of information department, besides other officials of the district administration.
