The maiden(Block Diwas) under Jan Abhiyan/Awami Muhim has been celebrated with enthusiastic participations of locals and with great pump and show across the Seventeen blocks of the district under the supervision of DDC Doda Dr Sagar D Doifode.
 
During the whole day of Youm-e-Block at each designated locations all the government offices alongwith the officers as well as frontline field functionaries remained present for service delivery and listened the grievances for onspot redressal pertaining to their respective departments.
 
The DDC Doda Dr Sagar D Doifode attended the Block Diwas in the four blocks of the Gandoh Sub division i.e Gandoh,Chilli,Changa and Jakyas wherein the DDC interacted with PRI’s, scores of individuals and delegations and listened to their issues among which most of the grievances were resolved onspot, besides others were directed to get documented by the respective department for prompt redressal in the upcoming days.
 
During the visit the DDC at each location enquired about the presence of each department as well as their official’s, enquired the status of grievances recorded and their redressal by all the department’s, besides took the first hand appraisal of services which were provided by all the department’s during the Block Diwas.
 
All the department’s during Block Diwas displayed their activities through the stalls which were established in all Seventeen blocks and showcased their services, dissemated awareness about various individual benefit scheme’s.
 
 
While attending the Block Diwas at Gandoh the DDC also handed over Domicile certificates to the concerned individuals,power tillers to the eligible beneficiaries on 50% subsidy basis provided by the horticulture department, besides departments like Agriculture registered the leftout beneficiaries under KCC and PM kissan, health department registered the beneficiaries under Ayushman Bharat scheme, onspot disbursement of cases under KCC were also done by Bank’s,soil health cards and Mgnrega job cards were also distributed among the beneficiaries, besides Social Welfare Department conducted the registration of left out individuals under various pension schemes.
 
The DDC congratulated all the department’s and their frontline staff for giving onspot services to the individuals in the far flung areas of the rural areas, besides addressing their grievances for prompt redressal.
 
While speaking on the occasion the DDC said that Jan Abhiyan/Awami Muhim is a first of its kind initiative of Govt of J&K UT ahead of B2V-3 under which the special focus has been given to service delivery and prompt redressal of individual grievances at their doorstep.
 
The DDC said that the UT Govt is committed and dedicated for greater individual good and this Jan Abhiyan is a better mean to achieve this,in this regard the DDC urged the people of rural areas across the district to take active participation in this program and take all the benefits from this Awami Muhim.
 
Apart from this,the Jan Abhiyan/Awami Muhim and B2V program also aims at strengthening of the Panchayati Raj system as well as grassroot level democracy wherein the planning has been done at the lower level and ample funds are being made available to the Panchayats for completing all the public importance works.
 
The DDC also informed the people that UT Govt has already sanctioned Rs 10 lacs in favour of each Panchayats for the completion of B2V works and the direction has already been given to the concerned department to ensure that during these 21 days of Jan Abhiyan program one work each from B2V-1 and 2 shall be completed on priority basis in each panchayat.
 
In similar basis other Blocks of the district also celebrated Block Diwas at their designated locations with enthusiastic participations of locals, besides ADC Doda and ADC Bhaderwah also visited many blocks to take the first hand appraisal about the grievances raised by the people and services being provided to them during the Jan Abhiyan.
 
The BDC’s, District officer’s, Sarpanches,PRI’s,Tehsildars, BDO’S, besides other field level staff also attended the program.
