As a part of the Jan Abhiyan program,the 3rd Block Diwas witnessed enthusiastic participation of locals and PRI’s in all the Seventeen blocks of the district.
The District Development Commissioner Doda, Dr Sagar D Doifode visited four blocks of the district namely Bhagwah, Kastigarh,Assar and Khaleni.
During the visits the DDC, distributed Domicile certificates,Soil health cards,Power tillers, Horticulture Pass Books, KCC sanction Letters among the beneficiaries at different locations, besides listened to the grievances of the general public and solved many of them on spot.
The DDC while speaking on the occasion said that,this is for the first time that all the department’s are making collective efforts to ensure the service delivery at the doorstep of the beneficiary, besides are resolving the issues on spot and are recording the rest for the timely disposal from the higher quarters.
The DDC said that the main motive to celebrate the Block Diwas ahead of B2V-3 is to ensure 100% saturation in all the individual beneficiary schemes which includes KCC,PM kissan, Ayushman Bharat, Pensions etc.
DDC said that almost the saturations targets have been achieved by many departments in the district mainly in KCC,PM kissan and Pensions and the directions has already been passed to all the concerned departments to achieve the targets well before the commencement of the 3rd phase of the B2V program.
DDC also said that in majority of the panchayats across the district, the B2V-1 works are completed and in those Panchayats where it is ongoing have been directed to complete before 2nd October, besides the RDD department has also been directed to take up one work in all the Panchayats from B2V-2.
The DDC said that district has seen phenomenal growth in the generation of PD under Mgnrega in the last one half year,and similarly this year the targets are accordingly fixed by the District Administration to achieve more than the last year.
In this regard the DDC said that already directions has been given to the concerned to take up the works in all the Panchayats which have completed more than the 90% of the plan,by taking the approval from the gram sabha.
While lauding the efforts of PMGSY department,the DDC said that on daily basis 2-4 km of BT is being laid on the roads across the district,and accordingly all the sanctioned roads of the Bhagwah and Kastigarh block have been blacktopped and rest work shall be completed in upcoming day’s.
“Government is committed to strengthen the Panchayati Raj system in the UT and various progressive measures are being implemented by the UT Govt under the leadership of Hon’ble LG in this regard, and the programs like Jan Abhiyan and Block Diwas are the actual means to strengthen the planning from bottom to top”DDC added.
DDC also inspected various stalls displayed by various departments showcasing their respective activities, besides directed all the department’s to be more delivery oriented and asked them to generate more awareness regarding welfare schemes devised for the individual by the Central as well as UT Govt.
Similar kind of events were organised at other blocks across the district which have witnessed overwhelming response by the locals and PRI members, besides various departments have also distributed various certificates and machinery among the beneficiaries during the block diwas.
