*My Town My Pride programme commences in Muncipal Council Doda and Municipal Committees of Bhaderwah and Thathri* _people show enthusiastic and overwhelming response_

DODA, OCTOBER 19: – People of all the three towns of District Doda participated in the ambitious My Town My Pride programme with great interest and enthusiasm.

The said programme in all the three towns is being conducted under the overall supervision of District Development Commissioner (DDC) Doda, Dr Sagar D Doifode.

It is pertinent to mention here that ‘My Town My Pride’ programme is an ambitious and innovative initiative of the government to reach out to the people at the grassroots level and strengthen the Urban Local Bodies which inturn ensure deliverance of public services at doorsteps and provides a platform to town people to put their issues of concern before the visiting officer/ government.

The entire programme is scheduled to be conducted in two days starting from 19th of October 2020.

At MC Doda main function was organised at Boys HSS Doda under My Town My Pride programme.

The Mela/ programme was inaugurated by ADDC Doda Surat Singh in presence of ADC Doda Kishori Lal Sharma.

At Bhaderwah the main event was held at Dak Banglow Bhaderwah where visiting officer Sh. Pawan Singh Rathore, Additional Secretary to Government Hospitality and protocol department inaugurated and presided over the event on day one of “My town My pride” programme.

While at Thathri, Visiting officer Imam Din, Director Horticulture Planning and marketing inaugurated and chaired the function.

Beautiful stall of all the service delivery department installed at Boys HSS Doda, Dak Banglow Bhaderwah and Boys HSS Thathri were of special attraction for public. Visiting officers inspected the stalls and public got there issues settled onspot at concerned departmental stalls.

Forenoon session of day one started with
interaction with ULB members, frontline government functionaries, social activists/
NGOs, prominent citizens, etc. The informal discussion with Members of ULBs and public gave visiting officers the idea of issues and concerns of the town.

During afternoon session
Visiting officers along with ULBs visited several waste-management facility, community/public toilet facilities, completeed and ongoing PMAY-U houses,
government assets, community halls, local schools, health institutions, AWCs, banks,
water bodies etc.
They also
visited to important ongoing and languishing projects/ works.
