*Second round of Back to Village-3 culminates successfully in 78 Panchayats*. Overwhelming response and active participation made it a success. *Third and last round of Back to Village-3 started in 80 panchayats*. B2V3 aims at empowering every citizen with knowledge of his rights and access to government schemes.

Doda, October 7: The second round of ‘Back to Village’ (B2V3) programme culminated successfully in Doda district during which all the 78 Panchayats across 17 blocks of the district were covered by the designated officers. The programme is closely monitored by DDC Doda Dr Sagar D Doifode. During the three days and two nights visit of designated officers, various programmes were held which saw an enthusiastic participation of the locals. The visiting officers along with field functionaries visited their designated Panchayat Halqas who interacted with people and profiled their developmental demands.
Gram Sabhas were also held in Panchayats and during the interactions the local people gave a detailed feedback regarding road connectivity, health and hygiene, drinking water facilities besides informed the visiting teams about the implementation status of work projects identified during the first and second phase of ‘Back to Village’ programme.
The officers also inspected various institutions, which includes Schools, Aaganwadi centers, Health Institutions etc, to take stock of their functioning. They also took stock of the developmental works in these Panchayats.
Focus of the third phase of Back to Village is to strengthen the trust of people on government and bridge the gap between them.
Activities on the third day of the second round include, holding mahila and bal sabhas, inauguration of completed works under MGNREGA, 14th FC, district and state sector scheme, greh parvesh of identified horseless beneficiaries constructed under PMAY scheme, distribution of sports kits, cultural/ entertainment activities etc.
The day long exercise also include inspection of ongoing developmental works in their respective villages.
The third and the last round of B2V3 also started from today in 80 panchayats. All the visiting officers reached there designated panchayats and started their scheduled activities.
Visiting officers met BDC chairpersons, PRIs and prominent members of Gram Panchayats. Witnessed ward sabhas, visited various government establishments, inspected ongoing and completed works under MGNREGA, 14th FC, PMAY, etc. The visiting officers are also holding informal talks with Village residents and compiling there demands in booklets they have been provided by the Administration. Visiting officers and the representatives of various departments are also reading out list of beneficiaries to weed out the undeserving and adjust the most deserving ones in the list.
