*DC Doda inaugurates Pulse Polio Immunization Programme* _Appeals all the parents to get their children (0-5 years) immunized with the Polio Drops_(DC Doda)

Doda,January 31:

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Doda Dr Sagar D Doifode today kick started three days Intensified Pulse Polio Programme (IPPI) by ribbon cutting and administered Polio drops to children below 05 years at OPD of AH GMC Doda here in presence of Chief Medical Officer Doda Dr Yaqoob Mir.

 

Among others present on the occasion were,Medical Superintendent AH GMC Doda, District Immunization Officer Doda, BMO Ghat,besides Doctors and Paramedical staff of the Health department.

 

Speaking on the occasion DC asked the concerned authorities to ensure that each and every child under 05 year of age gets the Polio drops and emphasize to reach door to door in the district so that no children will be left uncovered under this programme.

 

“The Pulse Polio programme starting from 31st of Jan to 2nd of February 2021 and under this programme oral Polio drops provided to about 71000 children from 0-5 years of age across the district for which 523 Polio booths has been established in the district.” he added.

 

The DC said that today polio drops will be given to the children’s at booth levels and on 1st and 2nd February door to door campaign will be conducted to administered polio drops to the children’s.

 

Besides as many as 105 Supervisors, 2124 worker’s which include Anganwari Workers, ASHA

workers, officials from health and education department have been engaged for this service to make the programme successful.-he maintained.
