*PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi beneficiaries of Doda participates in online event(Kissan Samvad) chaired by Hon’ble PM with great enthusiasm* _PM holds transfer of 7th installment under PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi electronically from December to March 2021_ *DDC said district administration committed for farmer’s welfare, leaving no stone unturned to ensure doubling the farmer’s income*

Doda, December 25:

To mark the birth anniversary of the former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee,the Union government under the dynamic leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi today transferred an huge amount of more than 18000 cr among more than 9 crore farmer’s across the country electronically.

 

The program was organised in the entire country in which the Hon’ble PM interacted with the farmer’s through live telecast, besides transferred the aforementioned amount through DBT in one go among more than 9 crore registered beneficiaries as 7th installment under PM kisan across the country.

 

Similarly,the beneficiaries of the above mentioned scheme participated in the program at district headquarters Doda as well as at various designated places with great enthusiasm across the district and listened to the speech of the PM which was centered around the efforts and welfare measures being ensured by the centre govt for the welfare and prosperity of the farmer’s across the country.

 

During the program,the CAO Doda apprised the DDC that the district is at top position in the entire J&K by ensuring transfer of installments in the  accounts of 98 percent PM kisan beneficiaries ,besides ensuring coverage of more than 100% beneficiaries under KCC scheme,adding to this farmer’s also applauded the efforts of the department by providing technical guidance related to crops and cultivation timely.

 

The DDC also interacted with the farmer’s and listened to their issues and assured every possible help to improve and upgrade the agricultural activities in the district.

 

Speaking on the occasion,the DDC highlighted various efforts made by the District Administration in connection with the improvement in agriculture sector, which includes the great increase in cultivation of lavender in the district from 250 kanal to 700 kanal within the span of one and half year.

 

DDC said that district administration in coordination with agriculture and horticulture department is committed for the farmer’s welfare and shall leave no stone unturned to ensure doubling of the farmer’s income initiative of the govt in the district with greater implementation.

 

Earlier various beneficiaries of the PM kisan Samman Nidhi while speaking extended gratitude to the PM for making great efforts to ensure the farmer’s welfare and prosperity, besides expressed satisfaction with the district administration for making persistent efforts to address the issues of small and marginalized farmers on priority basis.

 

Among others present during the program are DDC Doda Dr Sagar D Doifode, ADDC Doda Surat Singh,CAO Doda,CHO Doda, BDC Chairperson, PRI members, besides officials of agriculture department.
