*Rafting trial safely conducted in river Chenab,DDC Doda rafts to promote adventure tourism* _White water rafting festival to be organised in the last week of February_ (DDC)

To promote the adventure tourism in the district,the District Administration Doda under the overall supervision of DDC Doda Dr Sagar D Doifode, in coordination with JK Adventures rafting group conducted a safe and secure trial into river Chenab today.

 

The DDC Doda itself participated in rafting trial by following all the safety protocols which started from Premnagar and ends up at Karara, and termed the route as one of the safe and secure route for rafting.

 

While speaking on the occasion, the DDC informed that district administration in coordination with Tourism department and BDA including other private players are taking various measures to promote the scenic as well as the adventure tourism in the district, in order to further promote the district at tourist map of the country,so that the district shall witness maximum footfall which is interlinked with growth in local economy.

 

The DDC informed that this route is one of the most beautiful and secure route for rafting, adding to this in the upcoming days the trekking expeditions, youth engagement programs will be conducted so that district shall be promoted as one of the main tourist destination for the tourists of both national and international repute.

 

Meanwhile the DDC on spot declared that in the last week of this month white water rafting festival shall be conducted which will be facilitated by the District Administration Doda and directed the concerned to invite the registrations from all the desirous participants so that maximum participation shall be ensured and the adventure tourism shall be fully explored and promoted at all levels.

 

Later on the DDC distributed the appreciation certificates among the members of the “JK Adventures” group for their great contribution in conducting the rafting trial’s.

 

Among others present during the program are CEO BDA Dr Rajinder Khajuria, SDM Thathri Athar Amin Zargar,Dy DEO  Doda Mohd Idrees Lone,Dy Registrar Cooperatives Adil Iqbal Lone, besides other officials of information department and media person’s.
