*DC Doda reviews status of Covid Vaccination and Testing in the district* _Calls to increase the RTPCR testing to mitigate the recent surge of cases_

Doda, March 30:

The Deputy Commissioner Doda Vikas Sharma today called upon the concerned Officers of health department and took first hand appraisal of the ongoing Covid vaccination and RTPCR testing in the district here in the chamber of DC office.

 

The meeting was attended by ADC Doda,ACR Doda, CMO Doda,DIO Doda,MS Associated Hospital GMC Doda,HOD department of Microbiology, besides other officials of the concerned department.

 

The DC directed the concerned to increase the testing by laying special focus on RTPCR testing, besides asked the CMO to devise the 15 day plan to carry out the testing in the targetted areas as well as groups which shall be dully submitted to the office by or before 2nd April.

 

While reviewing the vaccination drive,it has been apprised the DC that a total of 19 vaccination sites have been identified across the district to conduct the vaccination to the beneficiaries on scheduled days, besides informed that till now 34223 vaccine doses have been administered.

 

The DC asked the concerned to expedite the vaccination by mobilising the Asha workers, Anganwadi workers as well as PRI members and religious heads across the district to scale up the vaccination drive.

 

The DC directed all the concerned to make coordinated efforts so that recent surge can be mitigated by taking appropriate action on priority basis.
