*DC Doda reviews traffic de congestion measures in Doda town* _Directs to take strict action against encroachments and illegal parking of vehicles,Prohibits entry of SRTC buses and Rehris in bus stand Doda_

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Doda,Dr Sagar D Doifode today chaired the meeting of concerned officers to review the traffic de congestion measures in Doda town.
During the meeting the DC holds threadbare discussion on various aspects leading to the traffic congestion in Doda town especially in and around Bus stand Doda.
It has been informed to the DC that more than 15 SRTC buses remain parked in the bus stand, besides around 100 illegal Rehris are also placed in and around Bus stand which is hampering the movement of traffic.
The DC prohibited the parking of SRTC buses at bus stand, also asked the concerned to allow only 2 buses at a time in the bus stand, besides asked them to park their buses outside Sports Stadium Doda.
Further the DC also directed the concerned not to allow the entry of load carriers in the city during the day time.
Regarding establishment of illegal Rehris in and around bus stand Doda,the DC directed the EO MC Doda to remove all the illegal Rehris from the bus stand within the time period of two days.
While reviewing the issue of recent accidents mainly of ECO vehicle,the DC directed the ARTO to evaluate a comprehensive plan as how to phase out ECO as well as other vehicles which are not suitable to play on our roads to avoid any untoward incident in the future also.
Adding to this the DC directed the Traffic, MVD and Municipality department to remove all the encroachments from the road side, besides asked them to take the strict action against the illegal parking so that de congestion shall be ensured in letter and spirit.
The DC asked the concerned to undertake concerted efforts to improve and streamline the traffic scenario in the city, besides the DC asked for increased inter-departmental cooperation to achieve this objective.
Among others present during the meeting are ADC Doda Kishori Lal Sharma, DIO Doda Mohd Ashraf Wani, Dy SP Traffic Pankaj Soodan, Dy SP Hqr Jaswant Singh, besides other concerned Officers and Officials.
