*DC Doda visits Premnagar Shibnote area, reviews preparedness for maiden Chenab White Water Rafting festival*

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Doda, Dr Sagar D Doifode, today visited Premnagar Shibnote area of Thathri Sub division to review the arrangements in place for the smooth conduct of the first ever two day white water rafting festival to be started from tommorrow i.e 5th of March 2021.

 

The DDC directed the designated venue team to place all the necessary arrangements well before the commencement of the rafting festival, besides asked them to include other fun and Sports items during the program also so that entire festival shall be made more engaging and joyful for all the visitors and participants.

 

The DC has been apprised by the organising team that already the festival has created buzz all across the district specially among youth, and tremendous response has been recieved at registration level also.

 

Moreover the DC has been informed that 4 rafts will be used for rafting and all the safety measures have been taken into account to conduct safe and secure rafting.

 

The DC directed all the concerned to make concerted efforts to make the event a big success, which purely aims to promote adventure sports as well as tourism potential of the district.

 

Among others present are SDM Thathri Athar Amin Zargar, CMO Doda Dr Yaqoob Mir,Treasury Officer Bhaderwah Sameer Ul Rehman, Dy Registrar Cooperatives Adil Iqbal Lone, Dy SP DAR Shoket Beg, EO MC Bhaderwah Yousuf Ul Umar, besides other officials of Civil Administration and Army.
