*DC Doda hold introductory meeting with DDC members* _Says all the key functionaries shall be held answerable and accountable to the public issues_ *Siad Capacity building programme for DDC to be started soon*

Doda, April 10:

The Deputy Commissioner Doda, Vikas Sharma today held an introductory  meeting of DDC members, here in the mini meeting hall of DC office Complex Doda.

 

During meeting the DC was apprised by DDC members about various issues faced by them while executing their daily routine field work in their constituencies.

 

The issues raised by the DDC members during the meeting are, uninterrupted power supply and curtailment in un scheduled power cuts especially in rural areas, filling of vacant posts of Tehsildars, BDOs, teachers etc, tourism infrastructure development of local places including Jantroon Dhar, low mobile network connectivity in rural areas, release of pending PMAY payments, transfer of overstayed employees etc.

 

Meeting was informed by ACD that land has been identified for District Panchayat Resource Centre near Doda town. Funds are available and DPR has been submitted for appraisal. 

 

The DC informed all the DDC members present that all the  key functionaries shall be held answerable to the issues raised by them in the subsequent meetings with them, besides informed them that

Capacity building programme for DDC members shall be started soon so that they shall be made aware of the all the schemes and developmental projects for the better functioning of the institution.

 

The DC also requested all the members in the meeting to sensitise the public on COVID-19 pandemic and motivate public to following COVID-19 SOPs in letter and spirit to curb the surge in Covid cases, besides asked them to motivate the people above 45 to get vaccinated.
