*DC Doda holds introductory meet of BDC Chairpersons and BDOs* _Urged PRI members to act as bridge between locals and district administration, directs BDOs to maintain transparency and accountability in their offices in day to day functioning_

The Deputy Commissioner Doda Vikas Sharma today held introductory meet with the Block Development Chairpersons as well as key functionaries of the rural development department here at conference hall of DC office Doda.
During the meet the BDC Chairpersons highlighted various issues, of public importance and for the smooth running of respective institutional set up. The issues raised in the meeting  includes  filling up of the vaccancies in the health institutions, one time approval of the MGNREGA plan, accord of Administrative approvals of 14 FC works above 02 lacs, construction of panchayat ghars, start of vaccination drive of animal livestocks in the far off places, execution of cement works, re-organisation of Administrative setups in Gandoh sub division which lies in kishtiwar district, rectification in PMAY survey, reshuffle of over stayed staff,   purchase of computers for panchayats and furniture for BDC offices etc.
Directions were given to the ACD Doda to expedite the estimation of all B2V-3 projected works and to tender out all the works alongwith Administrative approvals in coordination with REW wing within seven days, besides asked the ACD to provide hand holding to the person which are being identified by the panchayats to get approved as contractors to take up the works of B2V-3.
Moreover the DC directed the ACD to tie up with the SE PWD and PDD in this regard and  submit the progress on daily basis regarding total applications recieved and cards issued on priority basis.
With regard to the purchase of computers for panchayats and furniture for BDC Offices, it has been apprised to the DC that the funds for purchase of computers have been released to the BDOs,while 99% of furniture have been purchased.
The DC directed all the BDOs to expedite the purchase and to complete it within next seven days, besides directed the DPO to submit the progress on daily basis and also to rectify the faulty supply system which causes unreasonable delay in getting the commitments done.
Regarding verification of works of 16-17 & 17-18, the DC directed the ACD to take up the matter with ACR who is the head of the verification Committee at district level to submit the progress to the DC office,  so that the matter shall be taken up with the higher authorities for release of funds.
BDC Chairpersons of sub division Gandoh also raised the issue of delay in vaccination of animal livestock, for which the DC directed the concerned to take up the matter with the concerned quarter to provide the vaccine so that it can be administered to the livestock before the advent of the season.
The DC directed all the BDOs to maintain utmost transparency and accountability while executing their day to day Office functioning, besides asked them to maintain tour diaries and to conduct more field visits alongwith their staff for effective and efficient public delivery system.
Among others present in the meeting are BDCs, ACD Doda,CPO Doda, DPO Doda besides BDOs and other concerned officials.
