*DDC reviews working and activities of Child protection and women welfare institutions in Doda.* Directs to device joint activity calendar for awareness and publicity.

Doda April 5 : To enhance reach, awareness and capacities of Child protection and women welfare functionaries at block and village level in district, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Doda, Vikas Sharma, today chaired a meeting of concerned officers to review the functioning and activities of Integrated Child Protection Services (ICPS), Childline, Mahila Shakti Kendra and One Stop centre in mini Meeting hall of DC office Complex Doda. 

 

During the meeting the DCPO, ICPS, Zubair Ahmad, apprised the meeting about the functioning of ICPS.

He informed that any child in need of care and protection and children in conflict with law can call on toll free number 1098 and within the shortest possible time these children will get help.

 

The Deputy Commissioner directed the district heads of these institutions to prepare a joint awareness and publicity Callander and reach out to every panchayat of the district for effective implementation of the children and women welfare schemes in the district.

 

The meeting was attended by CPO Doda, District Child Protection Officer, Central Administrator One Stop Centre, Chairperson CWC, District Coordinator  Child Line, Women Welfare Officer beside other officials of Childline, OSC, ICPS and MSK.
