*DDC Doda reviews functioning of Social Welfare Department, took stock of implementation of various schemes* _Directs to speed up the sanctioning of pending cases from concerned quarters, Asks to ensure disbursement of monthly installments amid Covid-19 pandemic crisis among beneficiaries_

District Development Commissioner Doda, Vikas Sharma reviewed various schemes run by Social Welfare department here at Camp office in DC’s residence at Doda.
 
The meeting was attended by CPO Doda, DSWO Doda, DEPO Doda and DIO Doda.
 
The chair was apprised that under National Social Assistance Programme (NSAP) 8950 beneficiaries (old age pensions, widows and Disabled persons) are getting monthly pension of @1000 rupees each, while 28809 beneficiaries (old age, widows and physically challenged persons) are getting monthly pension of rupees @1000 under Integrated Social Security scheme (ISSS). It is pertinent to mention here that both NSAP and ISSS are DBT based.
 
Further it was informed that 1290 applications have been received by department at Doda from various eligible beneficiaries for sanctioning of pension under various schemes.
Besides other Social Welfare schemes like State Marriage Assistance Scheme (SMAS), NFBS, PMAGY and national foundation for communal harmony schemes (NFFCH) were also reviewed.
 
DC directed to speed up the ADHAAR seeding of beneficiaries for effective implementation of schemes in DBT mode,  the DSWO was also directed to forward the cases for sanctioning to the concerned quarter’s after due verification of the new applications recieved at the TSWO level.
 
The DC also directed the concerned to ensure that all the pensioners are recieving the pensions  without any delay especially during the ongoing Covid crisis.
