*Each panchayat of District Doda to have 5 bedded Covid Care facilities, locations identified, all resources and man power mobolised to establish the CC Centres soon* (DC) _Panchayat level Committees constituted to monitor and supervise the functioning of Covid Care facilities and Home isolation_ *Testing capacity increases manifold in the district from 300 to more than 1000 per day*

Doda,21 May:

Each panchayat of the Doda district which are 237 in numbers, are going to have 05 bedded Covid Care facilities which shall be established within days for which adequate resources and manpower has already been mobolised to ensure the establishment. The statement has been made by DC Doda Vikas Sharma while briefing to the press conference held today at Mini meeting hall of DC office complex Doda.

 

While speaking the DC informed that the move to establish CC Centres at Panchayat level has been taken into account as per the directions of Hon’ble LG UT of J&K.

 

He further said that at each panchayat there shall be a panchayat monitoring covid management team which shall include Sarpanchs, Panchs, Secretary panchayat, Asha and Anganwadi workers to supervise and monitor the functioning of the established CC Centre, besides there shall be a incharge Nodal officer on every 5 panchayats from health department who shall ensure that there shall be hassle free functioning of the CC Centres and who shall also have the responsibility to shift the patient to the nearest dedicated covid care centre if the patient will be having mild or severe symptoms.

 

The DC also informed that at present there are total 1063 active covid cases out of which 997 are in home isolation and all are asymptomatic and their monitoring is also being ensured through proper mechanism in place.

 

Regarding Oxygen supply the DC informed that there is no shortage of oxygen cylinders in the district, refilling is being monitored round the clock and is being ensured on regular basis, adding to this district is also having sufficient oxygen supported beds, besides said that doctors and paramedical staff are working day and night tirelessly to treat the patients.

 

He further informed that testing has been increased from 300 to 1000 per day in the district. Besides it was given out that at present there are 11 containment zones in the district and 100% testing in these zones is ensured to check the spread of COVID-19 virus.

 

The DC says that responsible and collective efforts are required from each and every stakeholders in this fight against the surge of Covid-19, besides urged the people to follow all the necessary guidelines and instructions for their own safety.
