*DDC Doda reviews progress of Shalaka Infra Tech Ltd and Transrail pvt ltd* _Project Wing Doda, Shalaka Infra Tech and Transrail Pvt Ltd pulled up for extremely tardy progress_ *Directs to ensure mobilisation of men and material at all sites immediately*

Doda, June 29:

The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Doda,Vikas Sharma today chaired the meeting of key officials of Power development department, project head Shalaka Infra Tech Pvt Ltd and project Head of Transrail pvt Ltd here in his office at DC office complex and took stock of progress of various schemes under execution.

 

The DDC has been apprised that Shalaka Infra Tech Pvt Ltd has been alloted 255 habitations with 260 stations. Out of which 54 stations have been handed over and 44 stations are completed which shall be handed over soon. Other stations are at different levels of execution like poll erection, stringing, poll head loading etc. Adding to this it has been apprised to the DDC that out of rest 168 works, 36 haven’t started yet and only 211 transformers have been made available which are present in the stock, besides 49 transformers are still pending at procurement level. Taking strong cognizance of the matter, the DDC directed the AEE concerned to review the stock availability and directed the concerned to procure the rest transformers immediately.

While reviewing Urban station projects executed by Transrail Pvt Ltd, the DDC was informed that out of 32 stations to be augmented in Doda and Bhaderwah towns only 5 stations have been erected till date. 

 

Discontented on the performance, Project Wing Doda, Shalaka Infra Tech and Transrail Pvt Ltd were pulled up for extremely tardy progress.  Xen and AEE Project Wing were directed to establish headquarter at Doda and not to leave the headquarter without prior  permission.

 

The DDC directed all stakeholders to mobilise their men and machinery for the timely completion of all the power projects as the same is being monitored by the respective higher authorities on daily basis as these projects are vital for public convenience.

He instructed the concerned officers to resolve the issue of availability of sites for urban Stations if any and expedite the augmentation of alloted Station in both the towns as mandated in the contract.

 

The DDC further directed the concerned to submit the status of 88 unelectrified habitations of the District depicting the habitations electrified till date, remaining habitations, stage of execution in remaining habitations along with reasons and habitations which are unelelectrified but not included in above referred 255 habitations.

 

The meeting was attended by CPO Doda, SE JPDCL Kishtiwar-Doda circle, Ex En EM&RE, STD, AEEs besides Officials of Shalaka Infra Tech and Transrail Pvt ltd.
