*DDC reviews progress on PMGSY road projects* _Ask the authorities to expedite the the execution of works and complete all the targets under fixed timeline_

DODA, June 29 : District Development Commissioner Doda, Vikas Sharma today reviewed the progress on  Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) road projects of Sub division Assar, Bhagwah, Bhaderwah, Doda, Thathri and Gandoh, here in his office Chamber of DC Office Doda.

 

The meeting was attended by Joint Director (CPO) Parshotam Kumar, SE PMGSY, Executive Engineer PMGSY, DIO Doda and AEEs of concerned sub divisions.

 

The District Development Commissioner Doda was apprised that out of 111 ongoing roads in Doda Division (Subdivision Assar, Bhagwah,  Bhaderwah and Doda) 65 roads have been black topped till ending May this year. While in Division Thathri (Subdivision Thathri and Gandoh) out of 63 roads 20 have been black topped till March 2021. It was also given out that these 174 road projects shall cater the need of 238 habitations in the district.

 

While reviewing the  PMGSY Division Thathri it came out that progress of both subdivisions i,e Thathri and Gandoh has been dismay on which chair showed dissatisfaction and directed the SE concerned to fix the responsibility of less performance and take strict action accordingly. 

 

He directed the PMGSY officers to strictly adhere to the specifications and complete the ongoing works within stipulated time frame. He directed the authorities to fix the target of 25 kms for BT per fortnight, so that the remaining length be Black toped roads can be achieved before November this year. 

 

Further the DDC  directed the officers to review the pending projects for want of any clearance  required from revenue or forest department and get the issues resorted to complete these projects at the earliest. DDC directed both the executive Engineers to coordinate with concerned authorities and settle all the pending cases of forest clearances etc for early completion of the roads.
