In order to achive cent  percent vaccination target above the age group of 45 across the district especially in those areas where people are not coming forward to get vaccinated,the Deputy Commissioner Doda Vikas Sharma today chaired the meeting of religious heads, elected representatives of various areas (DDC members and BDC chairpersons) in the conference hall of DC office Doda.

 

During the meeting the CMO Doda apprised the participants that in comparison to the other medical blocks, in block Ghat the percentage of vaccination in the age group of 45 & above is around 50% only, adding to this informed that out of 39000 approximate target only around 20000 got vaccinated which is hampering the percentage of the district.

 

The religious heads, DDC members and BDC chairpersons were of the opinion that collective efforts are imperative for the health and welfare of our society.

It has been unanimously decided that sensitisation teams shall be framed  for all the targetted areas which shall include religious heads, elected representatives, senior citizens, Tehsildars, Block development officers including field functionaries of health department so that aggressive awareness campaign in the areas which are having low percentage shall be carried out collectively under set protocol of Covid-19.

 

Meanwhile the DC also informed the participants that vaccination from 18-45 age group is going to start from tommorrow positively for which 6 vaccination sites have been identified acros the district, besides asked all the eligible beneficiaries to register themselves on the designated portal on priority basis.

 

The DC asked the concerned officials to reach out to the targetted people & get them vaccinated at an earliest, he also requested religious clerks and elected representatives to work in tandem and serve as bridge between Administration and public so that rumour mongering shall be avoided in letter and spirit.

 

The house assured the DC that they are ready to co-operate with the Administration relentlessly in achieving the target by making awareness drives in their areas so that the war against Covid-19 shall be won on collective basis, besides DC also sought suggestions from the participants with regard to improvement in vaccination.

 

Among others present during the meeting are DDC members, BDC Chairpersons, besides CMO Doda, Tehsildars, BDOs, Covid Nodal Officer, BMO Doda/Ghat and medical officers were also present.
