*ADC Doda reviews implementation of District Environmental Plan* _Directs to constitute ward sanitation committees, Urges stakeholders to properly work for the environment conservation_

DODA, July 10:  Additional Deputy commissioner (ADC) Dr. Ravi Kumar Bharti reviewed the implementation of District Environment Plan  on the directions of DDC Doda (Chairman District Environment Committee), Vikas Sharma today in his office chamber.
 
District Environment Committee members who attended the meeting include GM industries Dr Khalid Hussain Malik, CPO Parshotam Kumar, ACD Idrees Lone, CEO Prahlad Bhagat, CMO Dr Yaqoob Mir, DFO Doda Navneet Singh,ACP/DPO Ashfaq Khanji,DIO Doda Mohd Ashraf Wani, DMO, District Pollution control Officer, EO’s of MC Doda and Bhaderwah and Sanitary Inspector health department.
 
Threadbare discussion was held regarding action taken on DEP across the district by different departments which includes Solid Waste management, Plastic waste management, Bio-medical Waste Management, Domestic Sewage Management and Water Waste Management etc.
 
ADC directed the EO MCs to constitute Ward sanitation committees in all wards of Muncipal Council Doda and Muncipal committees of Bhaderwah and Thathri. He also directed them to collect the waste from the doorstep of every household in their jurisdiction without any fail.
 
While reviewing the bio medical waste management, CMO informed the committee that bio medical waste is being lifted on weekly basis according to the set norms and nothing is being kept in the premises of the AssociatedHospital.
Similarly he informed the ADC that in all the SDH and CHC’s Bio medical Waste is being collected on weekly basis.
 
Other than the Bio medical waste, different waste is being lifted by MC Doda from Associated Hospital on daily basis as per the agreement.
 
Regarding water waste management ADC directed all the stakeholders to ensure the water bodies are not polluted through out the District. 
 
During the course of meeting,the committee decided to hold the review meeting on 1st Wednesday of each month from August onwards.
