The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Doda, Vikas Sharma today met Seerat Committee members, president Beopar Mandal, representatives of meat and chicken Union, Officers and other stakeholders at Conference Hall of DC office, here to discuss the arrangements for ensuing Eid-ul-Adha festivity.
 
During the meeting, threadbare discussion was held regarding arrangements to be put in place by the concerned departments including availability of essentials including, Transport arrangements and cleanliness.
 
The DC exhorted upon the officers of essential services departments to ensure and provide uninterrupted power and drinking water supply to the people on the festive occasion, including availability of essential commodities in the market on the reasonable prices. 
 
He instructed the Executive Officer of Municipal Council Doda to ensure proper cleanliness, sanitation   around Masjids, streets, besides ensuring cleanliness and proper functioning of street lights across the town on priority basis.
 
Emergency Services Departments were asked to keep Fire tenders ready at vulnerable places especially in the town to face any eventuality, adding to this directions were also passed to intensify market checking to keep a check on profiteering, Hoarding and Black marketing.
 
Further he directed the Officers of Municipal Committee, CAPD, Legal Metrology, Food and Drug control and Police Departments to ensure that products are sold strictly in accordance with the notified rates.
 
Moreover the DC informed the stakeholders that rates will be re-examined and justified rates will be notified, besides asked the concerned to give wide publicity to the rates for thr general information of the public positively.
 
The DC also directed the EO MC, ARTO and Dy SP traffic to ensure that there shall be no traffic jamming in the market especially during these days, besides asked to implement the directions with regard to traffic de-congestion in letter and spirit.
 
Seerat Committee and other representatives of different unions present in the meeting ensured that in view of the Covid-19 Pandemic,  the SOPs and other guidelines including wearing of masks, avoiding gatherings especially in and around the masjids and market places besides, maintain Social distancing, hand washing and Sanitization shall be certainly followed in letter and spirit.
 
The meeting was attended by SSP Doda, ADC Doda, ASP Doda, ACR Doda, CMO Doda, President MC Doda, DIO Doda, Members of Seerat committee, President Beopar Mandal, Chicken and Mutton Association, besides other concerned stakeholders and Officers were also present.
