*DDC Doda meet President MC Doda and Councillors, discusses various issues of Doda town* _Directs to Constitute District Level Empowered Committee to frame comprehensive plan to review traffic congestion, Beautification and other issues of Doda town_

District Development Commissioner (DDC) Doda,Vikas Sharma today met the President MC Doda and Councillors here at DC office Doda to discuss the major issues of Doda town.

 

Threadbare discussion was held during the meeting with regard to various issues/works pertaining to various departments PWD, PHE and Traffic department.

 

The DDC directed the Ex En PWD to execute the works of My Town My Pride,14th FC on war footing basis, besides ask to blacklist the contractors who breach the agreement and hampered the pace of developmental works, besides asked to submit the MPR of all works to the MC so that monitoring shall be done on regular intervals.

 

With regard to leakages and choking of drains in the town, the DDC directed the Xen Jal Shakti to examine the issue and submit comprehensive report in this regard.

 

Moreover the DDC directed the executing agencies not to start any work in the jurisdiction of Doda town without the prior NOC of MC, besides it has been directed concerned to transfer the amount registered in the estimation of the work for restoration to the MC on priority basis.

 

Regarding Traffic de-congestion the DDC directed to constitute the District Level Empowered Committee which shall be headed by ADC Doda to examine the entire situation and to endorse recommendations how to improve the traffic scenario, besides the Committee shall also submit the recommendations regarding beautification plan.

 

The President MC Doda also apprised the DDC that various works under 14th FC are under liability from more than 2 years, in this regard DDC directed planning section to constitute a committee which shall examines the status of works and submit the report in 15 days so that necessary action shall be done.

 

The ARTO was directed to ensure that the rates list of auto fare from point to point are pasted at all public places, besides asked them to regulate the traffic scenario on regular basis.

 

While reviewing the PMAY status, it has been informed to the DDC that more than 100 cases for title verification are pending, which shall be mobolised on war footing basis, for which the DDC directed the EO MC to take up the matter with the Tehsildar with the direction to clear all the cases within 15 days positively.

 

The meeting was attended by President MC Doda, CPO Doda, Councillors, EO MC, Ex En PHE, PWD, CAHO, DIO, Dy SP traffic, ARTO Doda, besides other officers were also present.
